The Inaugural Edition
On 23rd May 2026, the shores of Mont Choisy Le Golf came alive for the launch of a brand-new overnight adventure: The Loop Sunset to Sunrise. A fresh chapter for The Loop after the resounding success of the Backyard Ultra in 2025, this race brought runners, walkers, families, and the wider community together for a night unlike any other on the island.
The Loop Sunset to Sunrise is not about who’s fastest; it’s about heart, rhythm, and the will to keep going through the night. Participants take on a 7.7 km loop around the Mont Choisy Golf Estate, running or walking at their own pace, then return to base camp at the Heritage Zone after every lap to refuel, rest, and reset before heading back out. There’s no maximum time per loop and no limit on rest, just one goal: keep moving from the first shadow of dusk to the rising sun.

Through the Night
When the sun rose over the estate, 6 runners had gone the distance, completing an incredible 12 loops in less than 12 hours.
Anabelle Devienne claimed victory as the first-ever winner of The Loop Sunset to Sunrise, crossing the line in 11:26:22 to top the women’s podium, followed closely by Julie Ducray and Claire Bonieux, both clocking 11:41:45.
On the men’s side, Mindaugas Budreika led the way in 11:34:21, with Avin Jagarnath (11:42:37) and Mathieu Petit (11 loops, 11:32:27) rounding out a podium that pushed each other every step of the way.
